José Magro
- Sound experience and academic background in the Marketing and Communication fields. Graduation in Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Brazil (FGV), post graduation in Marketing in INSEAD and MBA in Brazil / USA (ESPM / University of Califórnia). In 2015 did an executive course in Digital Marketing at the Portuguese Catholic University.
- Spent 18 years in the Royal Dutch Shell group - as Marketing and Retail Director in Shell Brazil and Shell Portugal; in 1994 went to London and was the Shell International coordinator in Oil & Gas Downstream and renewable energies for South and East Europe and then Africa and Latin America.
- In 1998 went back to Brazil as Marketing Director of TAM Airline and in 2001 became strategy and marketing consultant of GOL Airline till 2005.
- Both in Shell and in TAM he was involved in the management and sponsoring of big sports events, such as football-Botafogo, Benfica and FC Porto, and motorsport - Formula 1 (Shell) and Formula Indy (TAM).
- In 2002 joined the WPP Communication Group in São Paulo as CEO of the advertising Red Cell/141 Worldwide and then became Vice Presidente of Young & Rubicam till end 2007.
- In 2008 returns to Lisbon to become the General Manager of Rock in Rio - the biggest music festival worlwide and coordinated the festivals of Rock in Rio Lisboa and support to Rock in Rio Madrid in 2008 and 2010, as well as the assessment of possible expansion to Poland.
- From 2011 till 2014 conducted consulting services in the áreas of transport, energy & energy efficiency with IM Brasil in Portugal and Brasil.
- Partner of the marketing, communication and events agency Wanted Brand since 2009 and has interests in digital marketing.
- Was President of the Brazilian Business Club from 2008 to 2011, and member of the Energy committee of LIDE Portugal, and since 2015 is Vice President of the Portuguese and Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
